Product Description
Detailed Specifications & Features
QXB Type Centrifugal Submersible Aerator
Product Application

The QXB centrifugal submersible aerator is designed for aeration tanks and aerated grit chambers in wastewater treatment plants. It provides efficient oxygenation and mixing for wastewater and sludge mixed liquor. This equipment is also suitable for biochemical wastewater treatment and aeration in aquaculture ponds.

Product Features
  • Unique gas-liquid mixing chamber design ensures high oxygen dissolution rate and generates a large proportion of fine bubbles for superior oxygen transfer efficiency and wide aeration coverage
  • Eliminates dead zones in tanks - the horizontal aeration flow carrying air bubbles thoroughly scours every corner of the tank bottom
  • Simple, compact structure with heavy-duty bearings and oil-bath shaft sealing for long service life and reliable 24-hour continuous operation
  • Fully submerged operation provides noiseless performance, with optional silencer for additional noise reduction
Structural Features
Self-weight positioning design enables easy installation and flexible arrangement without interrupting treatment processes
Compact structural design with self-aspirating function eliminates need for external air source
Fully submersible operation reduces occupied space and ensures low noise levels
Direct installation capability in oxidation ditches reduces civil construction costs
Independent, movable aeration unit providing simultaneous aeration and mixing functions
Customizable base plate designs available according to specific customer requirements
Structural Overview

The centrifugal submersible aerator consists of these main components: submersible motor-pump unit, mixing chamber, base plate, air inlet pipe, and silencer. The air inlet pipe's upper end positions above the water surface for continuous air intake, while the lower end connects to the mixing chamber. When powered, the impeller rotates at high speed, discharging water from the impeller outlet. As water passes through the mixing chamber, it creates a negative pressure zone that draws air through the inlet pipe. This allows thorough mixing of air and water within the mixing chamber, with the air-water mixture then discharged uniformly around the unit to complete the oxygen transfer process.

Working Principle

The QXB submersible centrifugal aerator adopts direct drive between the motor and the impeller. When the impeller rotates, centrifugal force displaces the surrounding water, creating a low-pressure zone that draws in water. At the same time, a vacuum is generated at the impeller, allowing air to be sucked in.Air and water are thoroughly mixed in the mixing chamber to form a uniform gas–liquid mixture.Under centrifugal force, the gas–liquid mixture is rapidly discharged into the tank.Due to the strong jet flow, intensive water circulation is formed. The air is sheared into a large number of fine bubbles, significantly increasing the total gas–liquid contact surface area.Because the bubbles rise slowly, a large amount of oxygen is dissolved into the water. As a result, the power efficiency of this aerator is superior to that of other types of aerators.
