As a key horizontal-axis surface aerator for oxidation ditches, the rotary disk aerator provides efficient oxygenation, robust propulsion, and prevents sludge settling, ensuring thorough mixing for biochemical processes. Key advantages include deep working depths, high power and oxygenation efficiency, excellent corrosion resistance, long lifespan, flexible assembly, and low operating and maintenance costs.
Comprising a drive unit, flexible coupling, main shaft, disks, and bearing housings, the aerator operates by rotating the disks via a motor and gear reducer. The spinning disks and their blind-hole structures create water curtains and entrain large volumes of air for thorough mixing and efficient oxygenation. Meanwhile, the rotation strongly propels the wastewater forward in the oxidation ditch, keeping the activated sludge perfectly suspended.
