Product Description
Product Overview

The Fully Submerged Fiber Rotary Disk Filter is a highly efficient, energy-saving solution engineered for solid-liquid separation and advanced water treatment. Its core assembly comprises a central rotating drum, filtering disk panels, a backwashing system, and a supporting electrical control system.

During operation, raw water flows through the specialized fiber filter cloth on the disks and into the drum. The filter pores are extremely fine—reaching down to 10 µm—effectively intercepting impurities. When accumulated debris on the outside of the cloth causes the liquid level to reach a set value, the backwash device activates automatically, suctioning the trapped material into a sewage pipe for discharge.

This equipment is extensively used for upgrading existing wastewater treatment plants (improving from Class 1B to Class 1A discharge standards), reusing industrial production water (such as cooling water in steel and power plants), urban miscellaneous water reuse, and aquaculture water treatment.

Core Selling Points
  • Minimal Installed Power for Extreme Energy Savings: During normal filtration, raw water passes through the fiber filter cloth entirely driven by gravity. Aside from necessary monitoring components, the entire filtration process operates with zero energy consumption, keeping operating costs incredibly low.
  • High Space Utilization with Small Footprint: The design fully utilizes vertical space, making the arrangement of auxiliary equipment exceptionally compact. This saves valuable land within the plant and makes centralized management and maintenance highly convenient.
  • Fully Automatic Continuous Operation: The system runs continuously under automated control. Even when the backwash process is initiated, filtration continues seamlessly without any interruption, completely avoiding operational downtime.
  • Superior Water Quality & Impact Resistance: By selecting fiber filter cloths of varying specifications, the equipment demonstrates strong impact resistance, tolerating influent SS up to 50 mg/L. It also guarantees highly stable effluent quality, effortlessly achieving the strict standard of effluent SS ≤ 5 mg/L.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Will normal water filtration be interrupted when the equipment is backwashing?

A: No, it will not. The equipment is designed for automated continuous operation. When the backwash device is active, the filtration process on the other areas of the disks continues simultaneously, ensuring a completely uninterrupted water supply.

Q: Is the head loss high, and does the small pore size cause easy clogging?

A: The head loss is remarkably small, typically set at just 300 mm. Furthermore, whenever impurities accumulate and trigger the set liquid level, the highly efficient backwash system immediately activates to clear the debris and prevent any clogging.

Q: Does this equipment consume a lot of electricity, and does it require external clean water for backwashing?

A: The power consumption is extremely low, as the standard filtration process relies on gravity. Additionally, the backwashing system directly uses the already filtered water from inside the central drum. This means no external tap water is needed, and the backwashing energy is concentrated and highly efficient.
